Position: Operations Trainer
Primary Location: Riverton, WY
Reports to: Operations Manager
Compensation: $80,000-90,000 + bonus, + benefits (salaried, exempt)
Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific salary range for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process. About This Role and You
The Operations Trainer at our Riverton, WY Ultrapure sulphuric acid production facility will be part of a team that meets the needs for producing highly specialized materials, supporting a rapidly growing semiconductor manufacturing industry, that will be highly dynamic over the next decade.
As an Operations Trainer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our chemical plant by training Operators on Standard Operating Procedures, creating training materials, updating procedures, and leading daily safety meetings. You will be responsible for equipping our operators with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their duties effectively while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Riverton plant operations, safety protocols, and SOPs. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Word.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Able to adjust schedule for turnarounds and work overtime as requested.
Medical Requirement

Responsibilities
Environmental, Health & Safety Responsibilities:
Become familiar with Chemtrade Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) policies and procedures.
Review and update Operations SOPs
Complete all required ES&H training in a timely fashion.
Follow all Chemtrade facility and corporate ES&H procedures and practices.
Attend and actively participate in facility ES&H meetings and forums that will drive employee involvement.
Provide feedback and suggestions for ES&H program improvement.
Participate in job safety analysis activities.
Training and Development:
Conduct training sessions for plant operators on SOPs, safety protocols, and best practices.
Develop and deliver engaging training programs using a variety of instructional techniques.
Assess operator competency and provide feedback for improvement.
Develop training matrix to ensure all employees are up to date on required topics.
Training Material Creation:
Create and update PowerPoint presentations, training manuals, and visual aids.
Develop and update operator qualification exams.
Ensure training materials are up-to-date with the latest plant equipment updates.
Develop and maintain a training library for reference.
Procedure Updating:
Collaborate with subject matter experts and operational teams to review and update SOPs and work instructions.
Ensure that procedures are accurate, efficient, and compliant with regulatory guidelines.
Document and communicate procedure changes to relevant personnel.
Safety Meetings:
Lead daily safety meetings to discuss and reinforce safety topics and best practices.
Encourage a safety-first culture among operators and report any safety concerns to management.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the training program.
Collaborate with the operations team to implement improvements and drive operational excellence.
Ability to fill in as an Operator as plant needs demand.
Assist in investigating and developing responses to customer inquiries/complaints.
Participate in scope and development of plant improvement projects.
Demonstrates attention to detail, adaptability, being a self-starter, ability to learn and good communications skills are essential.
Participate in plant process hazard analysis, job safety analysis, and other safety reviews.
