Job Description

The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers. 

Real Estate Valuation Services (REVS) protects the Wells Fargo brand, shareholder value, and the communities we serve by ensuring all real estate valuations are reliable. We do this by setting industry leading policies, guidelines, and practices for real estate valuations that are risk-based and analytics supported.

Job Responsibilities:
• Performs all aspects of complex and non-complex residential appraisal and/or appraisal review assignments which may include full-inspection walk-throughs, drive-by and/or desk assignments. 
• Completes or reviews appraisals ensuring reports are in compliance with regulatory and bank policy. Assignments may include SFR, land and residential property (1-4 units) at any transactional amount, with focus on high dollar transactional assignments, and assignments with higher risk levels as designated by the business unit. 
• Regularly meets quality standards and service expectations on assignments. Regularly demonstrates required valuation skill sets in appraisal development, reporting, and/or review. 
• May require some supervision and coaching on complex assignments. Must be capable of managing business relationships involving internal partners within the context of specific assignments

The Residential appraiser should reside in San Antonio, Texas and must be a Certified Licensed Appraiser in Texas. 

This role will involve traveling within and possibly outside of the San Antonio, Texas market in order to conduct job responsibilities above. 

The position allows the candidate to work remotely however they must have secure and reliable Internet access.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of valuation experience
  • Certified Appraiser

Other Desired Qualifications

• Texas State Certified Appraiser 
• Knowledge and understanding of real estate valuations 
• Expert knowledge and experience performing High End SFR valuations and knowledge of local real estate market
• Experience with Multiple Listing Service (MLS)
• Experience in leveraging automated valuation tools
• Thorough working knowledge of computer technology, appraisal software, mapping software and County Record systems
