Sells the company's products, systems and/or services via telephone or electronic means to customers in assigned territory, industry, or accounts. Must close the sale on products, systems and/or services. May generate prospective customers through cold calling and may qualify and follow up with sales leads. Sales can be made through multichannel, inbound and/or outbound sales activities. Requires application of in-depth technical knowledge of products, systems and services (may include contract documentation)
Responsible for renewing, up-selling, and closing of maintenance/service/license contracts for assigned region or account. Increases renewal sales for assigned region or account(s). Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's various products and maintenance contracts. Educates customers on business practices and associated contractual implications. Ensures customer awareness and understanding of applicable product elements. Must meet sales objectives such as quota and productivity requirements. Maintain account team relationships and transfers leads as appropriate.
Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.
Typically requires a minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience
