Kelly Services has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant with a State Agency in Downtown Albany. The position pays $15.00 / hr and is expected to last for approximately one year. They-re looking for someone fast paced and comfortable with Word, Access, Excel and Powerpoint:
Candidates should be highly-motivated individuals and able to work in a fast paced, high volume office environment.
Minimum qualifications include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel or other comparable electronic databases. Experience in scheduling meetings. Ability to work in a team and handle multiple, shifting priorities and good organizational skills.
Preferred qualifications include extensive experience with Microsoft Office, WebEx teleconference systems and data entry within electronic databases. Strong verbal communication skills, attention to detail and proofreading skills. Prior experience maintaining confidential databases and working in a New York State Department of Health environment is preferred.
The successful candidate will provide executive-level assistance as well as administrative and clerical functions that include:
- maintaining executive calendars
- scheduling meetings
- setting up phone and web-based meetings and conference calls
- developing and maintaining tracking systems
- organizing and maintaining electronic and paper files
- performing data entry tasks
- entering data and creating reports in Microsoft Access
- formatting documents in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- assisting with planning and conducting large meeting and events
- ordering supplies
- answering phones, referring calls, and answering inquiries
- making travel arrangements and providing assistance with processing travel reimbursement requests
