Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Temporary Travel Program Coordinator for our facility in Fort Mill, SC. This position is responsible for providing Schaeffler employees in the North America (U.S., Canada, and Mexico) the necessary tools, information and travel services required for the organization of business trips.
 
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
 
  • Maintain relationship with the Travel Management Company (TMC)
  • Build an Internal network with travel admins, VIP's and key support team members in order to effectively accomplish goals and initiatives
  • Interface with travel organization for benchmarking and updating on travel trends and travel service providers to facilitate delivery of travel management products and services
  • Enhance future travel experience for employees or clients, considering company cost-driven culture
  • Work with the Global Travel management Team to recommend and implement changes when needed, on behalf of the Americas Region
  • Monitor Unused Non-Refundable Tickets in coordination with TMC
  • Educate and guide travelers compliance with the Schaeffler Travel Policy
  • Maintain and recommend updates to the travel policy, based on regional and country legal requirements and specific needs, in alignment with the global frame procedures for business travels
  • Develop strong knowledge of the Concur system and the Schaeffler programming and provide support on any questions related to Concur booking process, search options, guest booking, travel arranger, preferred vendors, etc.
  • Log tickets with the IT Service Desk and respond to tickets assigned to Travel Management with a problem-solving mentality.  
  • Create dynamic communication in the Concur Home Page based on Schaeffler Travel Program and update and maintain the North America Travel Management SConnect pages (intranet), review layout and customize the page for better visualization
  • Design training content regarding the Schaeffler Travel Program for New Employee Orientations
  • Analyze data and generates visual metrics to support business requirements
  • Understand Schaeffler current Preferred Vendor Programs
  • Interface with Travel management Company(TMC) to make sure the employee travel data has been provided to WorldAware
  • Keep updated on the Global Corporate Security Travel Bans and Travel Safety Guidelines and communicate travelers accordingly
  • Perform internal audits on out-of-policy travel requests versus offline agent bookings
  • Prepare power points presentation, create charts and pivot tables, when required
  • Participate of Global or Regional Projects, as needed
Qualified candidates will have:
 
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in Business  Administration, Tourism, Hospitality, International Business/International Relations, IT or Human Resources
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-tasked and problem solve
  • Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with Concur
  • Experience with building intranet sites
  • Strong Customer Service skills and the ability to adjust communication styles to reflect the audience ranging from tactical to execute
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills including a proclivity for working with numbers, reports and data
  • Minimum of 1 year previous related experience in Travel Management, Hospitality or Customer Service
