Our client, a global manufacturing company, is adding a Senior Financial Analyst - Revenue Recognition to their team. This position reports to a leader within the finance organization. Responsibilities include performing financial accounting, financial analysis and business support in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, Company policies and procedures, standards of internal control, and business needs. This role will specifically focus on the Business Unit's plant finance and revenue recognition functions. The position will involve significant interaction with internal and external customers. Specifically, the Company is looking for a candidate who: ? Understands and applies general accounting principles to transactions as needed to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. ? Provides consultation regarding accounting theory and internal controls to Finance's customers. ? Applies business acumen to supplement accounting knowledge in order to provide value to Finance's customers. ? Plays a significant role in month-end General Ledger close process, including creation and posting of journal entries driving achievement of deadlines, and identifying requirements necessary for US GAAP and local statutory reporting. ? Performs reconciliation of general ledger account balances to supporting detail data on a monthly or quarterly basis in order to ensure the accuracy, validity and completeness of reported account balances. Applies appropriate disposition to reconciling items in a timely manner, or solicits help in doing so. ? Maintains schedules, templates, subsidiary ledgers, worksheets or other documents on an ongoing basis in order to ensure timeliness, consistency and accuracy of reported items. ? Supports internal and external audit requests for areas of responsibility. ? Analyze financial information - historical, prospective or hypothetical - to provide insights for the business regarding its performance, support business decisions, and plans for the future. ? Successfully partner and communicate effectively with stakeholders to gain understanding of their needs and to convey and interpret the results of financial analysis. ? Prepare formal financial presentation material that is to be delivered by finance and other leaders of the business. Interested candidates should have 3+ years experience in financial analysis, SAP experience and excellent communication skills. - Previous workmanship with financial reporting tools - Distinguished presentation skills - Bachelor's Degree in Finance, MBA preferred - Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions - 3+ years experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required - General familiarity with SAP BPC - Bus Planning Consolidation - Financial reconciliation experience - Solid understanding of financial analysis - Financial reporting experience preferred - Demonstrated knowledge of SAP FICO - Financial Acctg - Controlling - Experience with financial statements consolidation - Foundational knowledge in financial statement preparation - Adeptness in SAP Manufacturing
