The Financial Analyst possesses broad knowledge of financial analysis and management skills relevant to physician practice management or clinical program development. The Analyst is responsible for developing processes and acts as a resource and customer service liaison which effectively and efficiently supports decision makers within the service line. The Analyst supports service leadership leadership in the analysis and evaluation of tactical and operational components of both existing and potential RUMG physician satellite practices, as well as with the development of strategies and plans for these practices. This individual will evaluate physician practice operations, assess contribution to business objectives, and recommend goals. The Analyst works with service line leadership in developing ad-hoc reports on productivity, financial variances, operational metrics, and other reporting needs. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:
Prepares and analyzes quarterly (and ad hoc) off-campus RUMG location reports for dissemination to off-campus administrators, RUMG Finance, and RUMG administration leaders
Supports the development and implementation of a RUMG-wide strategy for the evaluation and assessment of Rush physician satellite practices and makes recommendations to senior RUMG leaders.
Collects and analyzes data and coordinates the reporting of key financial and operational metrics, including new visits, ancillary testing and procedures, physician referrals, productivity, access, etc.
Analyzes new opportunities/relocations in consideration of business objectives, space, and capital requirements and ROI projections.
Reviews actual vs. budget performance monthly and assist with budget variance explanations for needed RUMG departments.
Contributes to operating and capital budgeting process with key stakeholders from RUMG, hospital and others; partners with Corporate Finance on capital allocation for RUMG
Assists with Return on Investment analyses for capital and operating investments.
Ensures alignment of RUMG department revenues and expenses within correct accounting unit.
Utilizes EPIC transactional cube, Axiom and Link reporting, functionality, and analytics.
Processes labor distribution and labor cost transfers.
Assists RUMG departments with provider dashboards monthly to show volumes and RVU data compared to fiscal year targets.
Assists with RUMG Administrators with capital projects including approval, spend, legal and VP approvals, contract amendments, order submission, delivery logistics, training, etc.

Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
Three years of relevant experience required.
Experience with clinical information management required.
Experience in data abstraction and report analysis required.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work in a complex clinical information environment.
A high level of analytical ability is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data, and closely examine reports
