SVP Client Devices Business Unit Segment Leader

About the Position   

Company is looking for a Senior Vice President of our Global Client+ Devices Business Unit responsible for the overall financial and operational performance of the Client/Gaming/Surveillance Devices BU which includes driving Revenue Growth, Product Mix, Share of Wallet, Profitability and Customer Success.  Reporting to the Global Leader of Devices, this role will join our extended leadership team to help drive product growth and innovation across all industry BU segments and to engage our customers in extraordinary new ways that helps the world solve the most difficult problems through data.


  • Set strategy and business plans for the Client+ Devices BU segment
  • Define, quantify, and communicate overall segment strategy and goals across a 2Q to 5-year time horizon
  • Create mid-range plans for submission, validation and integration
  • Set segment strategic pricing / positioning
  • Develop and approve pricing parameters across products and accounts (ASP and price floors)
  • Decide on deal pricing escalations for strategic deals
  • Deliver business performance against quarterly targets
  • Identify and classify weekly business risks & opportunities (R&O)
  • Assign actions to Sales and Sales Operations to address R&O through weekly and daily execution cadence
  • Direct development (platform & product) activities to meet customer requirements enabling successful business outcomes
  • Establish trusted relationships with decision makers at customers
  • Ensure on-time delivery of products
  • Interlock with Sales on targets, incentives, and account planning
  • Accountable for mid-range Sales interlock process
  • Develop sales targets and incentive plan design with Sales leadership team
  • Co-develop account plans
  • Final decision-maker on segment-level tradeoffs and reallocation of GTM resources between sub-segments
  • Deliver on operational metrics
  • Achieve high level of Customer Satisfaction and Engagement
  • Drive on-time quality completion
  • Lead by influencing key stakeholders both internally and externally (ecosystem partners and customers)


  • Must have 10-15 years of General Management experience managing all aspects of Business Unit Segment including P/L, operational performance and product management and Product Marketing
  • Proven track record in growing a successful, sizeable Business Unit segment with experience in both strategy and product development, plus operational execution
  • Demonstrated P&L accountability for a business of $2-10 billion
  • Demonstrated experience growing a product base for hardware and data infrastructure
  • Knowledgeable about technology and innovation in the BU segment, enough so you can articulate topics effectively to a non-technical audience
  • Has strong written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation skills
  • Is fanatical about providing excellent customer enablement, value and success
