The Global Products Product Management Team seeks to maximize value to our customers through SAAS solutions that address acute and pervasive market problems. Product Management drives all aspects of product success including sales, marketing, development, and customer success. We seek to be known for our industry expertise and for being highly collaborative, transparent, and discerning, and for delivering profitable subscription-based solutions for Huron.
The ideal Product Manager candidate will leverage a solid understanding of the competitive landscape for their product and bring focus and precision to product requirements and design, while balancing the need to move quickly and build demonstrated value with our clients. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable leading product planning discussions with Huron consultants, working with engineering managers in planning meetings, and speaking to clients to champion the product strategy and vision. The Product Manager will have an opportunity to contribute in a direct and visible way to Hurons strategic objectives to increase recurring revenue and profitability.
The responsibilities of this role extend from gathering requirements for new product features, to maintaining the competitiveness of existing products and, where necessary, driving promotional programs and demonstrations. The successful candidate in this role leads with a strong and balanced blend of business process and technology experience to steer a product vision into reality.
Lead regular discovery and design sessions to determine product enhancement priorities
Maintain an organized, prioritized, and defined feature list, staying in tight alignment with key stakeholders on priorities and desired release timelines
Anticipate potential software development bottlenecks related to lack of feature definition or requirements and addressing proactively so as to keep development working efficiently
Regularly attend daily development stand-up meetings
Closely monitor product key performance indicators (financial, operational, and strategic) and taking action to maximize product success
Regularly conduct customer interviews, including win/loss, to remain abreast of customer / market problems and drive roadmap alignment
Communicate regularly and proactively with key stakeholders across the business on success, status, and risks associated with the product
U.S. work authorization is required
5+ years of direct experience working with SAAS products in healthcare
Ability to demonstrate critical, analytical thinking in all aspects of the job, both technical and non-technical.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive success in a matrixed organization
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences (technical and non-technical, staff and managerial), and in a wide range of settings (e.g., one-on-one, small group, in person, conference calls and via email)
Knowledge of key concepts and processes within the Software Development Life Cycle, including Agile
A Bachelors degree or equivalent specializing in biology, science, research administration, computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, mathematics, business administration or some other analytical or computer-related discipline or relevant experience
Willingness to travel up to 20% - Domestic and International
