Position: Accounting Manager
Location: Clarkton, NC
Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000 + Excellent Benefits + Paid Relocation
You will report directly to President/Owner.
You will manage the entire accounting function.
Payroll is outsourced.
The President wants to upgrade some processes and some of there technology.
You will work closely with new General Manager.
Client produces agriculture based food products - sold through major distribution channels - Supply WalMart, restaurant chains, etc.
Manufacturing industry experience is a BIG plus.
CPA not necessary.
Sage 100/MAS 200, or related, a plus.
Experience in automating accounting functions a plus.
Monitor, track and analyze all general ledger activity, month-end close (including reconciliation of all bank accounts, journal entries and financial reports), calculating monthly brokerage and accruals, Sales & Use Tax Returns, Mill Machinery Tax Returns.
Assist with audit preparation and provide information needed for tax returns, inventory management, purchases and accounts payable.
Oversee collections, payroll, administrative duties and other duties as assigned.
Management of all daily office activities.
Manage, maintain and administer all accounting systems, policy and software including MAS 200, Grossman and Time and Attendance and manage the staff that use this software.
Work with General Manager and President to develop systems to collect data and reporting of Processing Plant KPIs, for improving and sustaining operational costs, quality, food safety, personnel safety and customer satisfaction results.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Accounting designation (CPA), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education is desired but not required.
5+ years of accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role in a food processing environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent accounting, analytical and organizational skills.
Highly detail oriented and organized.
Experienced in multi-tasking.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
Dedicated and hardworking, easy to train and eager to learn.
Ability to work closely with a senior management team.
Proven ability to understanding processing plant processes and systems, to be able to recommend and design motivating KPI management systems.
