DRS Land Electronics in Melbourne, Florida, is looking for an electrical engineer to join our hardware team and support our growth in digital design systems and applications. DRS has designed and integrated vision, computing, display systems and other components onto multiple rugged military vehicle platforms. We are seeking a digital or mixed- signal engineer to support our vehicle electronics digital design, test, and integration activities. Primary & Essential Accountabilities
Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
Use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments
Provide schedule input for design assignments
Support the program or project design-to-cost and design for manufacture requirements
Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services
Perform initial and ongoing design reviews
Deliver documentation offering a critical analysis and suggestions for correcting errors
Identify process deficiencies and develop solutions to improve those deficiencies
Produce schematics and peer review designs from team members for accuracy
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience
Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
Experience in digital or mixed-signal design
Familiarity with military ground vehicle systems and specifications Experience with component selection, schematic capture, and board layout
