JOB SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the proper types of raw materials used in the manufacture of plastic products are available on time, in the correct location, and in sufficient quantities.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Maintains inventory levels, locates appropriate materials, distributes materials to proper locations, tracks material locations, and assists with the material ordering process. Supply production lines, stock materials, set aside sales, count and verify sales. Maintain workplace cleanliness and work in other areas as required.Performs clean up and special projects as needed. In accomplishing these tasks, the Handler regularly operates forklifts and other associated material handling equipment and machinery.

SKILLS:

  • Valid driver's license,
  • Forklift certification (must complete Bel-Art training).
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to100 pounds.
  • Prior inventory work experience preferred
  • Attention to detail and ability to count accurately

EXPERIENCE:

Familiarity with the plastic molding process and materials with previous experience in a similar, warehousing position. Basic computer literacy is preferred. Forklift operating experience is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Occasionally is required to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to lift and or move up to 50

pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
