Director of Engineering - Brand Convention Hotel | Confidential Property
Location: Alabama: Property is Confidential and will only be disclosed to qualified individuals
Compensation: Salary of up to $105k, 20% Bonus, $8k Relo, 60+Day Temp Housing
Title: Director of Engineering
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all engineering operations, including maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, systems, and equipment.
- Oversee the work of engineering staff, providing mentorship and training to ensure high-performance standards.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifecycle of hotel assets.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as industry standards.
- Work closely with department heads to support their engineering needs and address any maintenance issues promptly.
- Prepare and manage budgets for the engineering department, optimizing resources while maintaining quality.
- Collaborate on projects to enhance guest experiences through aesthetic and functional improvements to property.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement of engineering supplies and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engineering within a hotel or resort setting, demonstrating leadership and technical skills. Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities are essential for success in this role.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Director of Engineering or similar role in a hospitality environment
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound understanding of health and safety regulations
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in engineering or related field
