Lead - Quality Assurance

SECURA Neenah, WI (Onsite) Full-Time

Serve as a Quality Assurance Lead within a large strategic project. This position will be part of a dedicated project team focused entirely on implementing a new suite of insurance software to lay the groundwork for future growth. Specifically, this position will drive the creation, execution and maintenance of the overall quality assurance strategy including practices and methodologies to implement a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create the test strategy and vision for Quality Assurance, establishing formal QA standards and processes, and overseeing all functional aspects of QA, such as using best practices and establishing metrics
  • Documentation and maintenance of the test plan, test scripts, test procedures, test environments, and test event checklists for each test cycle
  • Establish and continually improve the testing infrastructure, tools and processes
  • Lead the Quality Assurance team in the planning and execution of the following testing types: Automation, Smoke, Integration, System, Regression, Performance, End to End, and User Acceptance
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the team, helping to create a culture that motivates others towards successfully delivering on commitments
  • Coach and provide guidance for writing, automating, and executing test cases
  • Work in close collaboration with other members of the project team to ensure the project success metrics are achieved
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand platform requirements and ensure that they are being met
  • Manage Quality Assurance vendor relationships in partnership with project delivery leaders
  • Responsible for maintenance and continuous upgrade of regression suites required for system integration testing
  • Provide technical leadership and support to design and implement automated CI/CD with tools
  • Analyze test data and produce test reports that provide results, supporting data, conclusions, and recommendations based on the system’s intended mission, stated requirements, and applicable specifications
  • Ensure the product is launched with minimal defects
  • Accountable for the integration of QA methodologies and practices for enterprise adoption beyond the project team
QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Knowledge of the SDLC, business processes, and technical aspects of software solutions
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • 5+ years of in-depth quality assurance experience
  • Experience working with Katalon, Selenium, GitHub, or similar related tools
  • Experience working with Jira, Zephyr Scale or related tools
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and scrum framework
  • Proven ability to create and drive a test strategy for an enterprise platform implementation, leading testing efforts across multiple development teams
  • Experience with UI and API test automation framework and test automation tools
  • Proficiency in designing and strategizing of automation framework and solution with experience designing Java based automation solutions
  • Confidence and comfort leading people and testing efforts
  • Highly motivated, organized, big-picture thinker, active listener, and a self-starter
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and high level of ownership
PREFERRED:
  • Agile certification(s)
  • Experience in or with:
    • The P&C Insurance industry and the Duck Creek core product suite
    • Web service, performance, load and security testing
    • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Devops and related tools such as Jenkins, AWS
    • Defining test automation frameworks, selecting appropriate testing tools, and defining test strategy
    • Specifying, establishing and managing test environments and test data for load and functional test automation
