The Alaka’ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a potential need for top talent and subject matter experts (SMEs) to provide Technology Transfer Support services for a Federal and DoD customer. Locations vary within the united states (CONUS).

POSITIONS MAY INCLUDE:

  • Technology Transfer Ambassador
  • Technology Transfer Analyst
  • Technology Transfer Associate
  • Technology Transfer Specialist
  • Research Scientist
  • SAP Technology Applications Specialist       

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a scientific research environment.
  • Within the past five years, a minimum of 2 years of experience in a U.S. Government Technology Transfer Office is required, preferably in a DoD ORTA with experience negotiating clinical trial agreements.
  • Must have knowledge of technology transfer law and regulatory requirements related to managing life science/medical research.
  • Knowledgeable in the following Windows based software applications: MS word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook.  Experience using Oracle Projects and Oracle Collaboration Suite is preferred. 
  • Must be able to type 45 words per minute.
  • Experience with DoDI 5535.8, DoD Technology Transfer Program, Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), Education Partnership Agreements (EPAs), Commercial Test Agreements (CTAs), Data Use Agreements (DUA), Patent License Agreements, and/or Knowledge Translation Agreements.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Professional certifications within the intellectual property community including admission to Patent Bar are preferred.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Must have at least a bachelor’s degree.

CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must have a favorable National Agency Check with Law and Credit Coverage (NACLC) submitted prior to reporting for the first day of work.
