ICL Texas has been in business for over 25 years supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
We have 7 offices across Texas and support hundreds of individuals in our programs.
Responsibilities
We are looking for two paid Interns that can work 15 hours or more per week. They will work in our Information Services Department at our Corporate Headquarters in Spring, Texas for the Spring/Summer of 2023. Candidates chosen for this position will work in some or all of the following areas:
- Manage requests through a helpdesk application and other contact methods (Text, Email, etc..) to resolve issues and assist our existing user base with Information Technology Systems.
Perform physical tasks such as:
Install printers, and other PC peripherals
Light duties related to workstations and server installations.
- Analyze data and develop information reports on key performance indicators. Perform system and security changes and updates, troubleshoot issues, develop and follow business processes for systems improvements and uptime.
In this intern position, candidates can be expected to be exposed to and work with:
Helpdesk operations, PC Management/Chromebook Administration
Google Cloud/Workspace, Microsoft Cloud/ Office 365
Microsoft Active Directory, Mobile Device Management
End-point Protection, Scripting (PowerShell, BASH, and others)
Connection technologies such as Wi-Fi/Cellular/WWAN/Fiber/Copper
Some light depot work (memory upgrades, etc..)
Firewalls (SonicWALL, others), MFP Copier Administration
Asterisk-based SIP telecommunications
Special projects and other duties as required.
Qualifications
Candidates should have some demonstratable skills in IT practices. High-school coursework or college level IT related courses are acceptable. Candidates should have an outgoing personality as they will be 1st level support for our users on-site in Spring, Texas (@ 40 users) and telephone/computer support for our branch offices (@ 50 users), and will provide limited telephone support to staff in our facilities.
