This position travels throughout the Gainesville region to different branches as needed.

Hours for this position are Monday through Thursday 11:45am - 5:15pm and Friday 12:45pm - 6:15pm. Some Saturdays 8:45am - 12:15pm


To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payments.
  • Balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals. Investigates and resolves out-of-balance situations.
  • Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
  • Identifies opportunities and cross-sells/offers products and services to members.
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including computer input, answering the telephone and other duties assigned.

Performance Measurements:
  • Provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members. Make sure member name is used during the transaction.
  • Be in balance daily and be able to count and close drawer within 15 minutes at the end of a shift.
  • Manage15 to 20 accurate teller transactions per hour.
  • Have no more than one posting error per month.


Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.

Other Skills: Must be able to use general office equipment including computers, copiers, scanners, coin counters, and cash counting machines. Basic understanding of math and cash counting/handling skills. Must be able to interpret credit union policies and procedures. Maintain the confidentiality related to credit union operations and member information. Provides friendly service.
