Job Summary Description:

* Collaborate with Senior Customer Quality/ Operations Quality engineers to create, review and update quality inspection instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, quality alerts, rework documentation, safe launch plans etc.
* Track daily builds, perform incoming inspection, packaging, shipments, refer to bill of materials, read component drawings, support material and equipment readiness for launch, create documentation for new product launches
* Coordinate handling, analysis of customer returns (RMAs - 0km, warranty etc.). Establish containment, perform root cause analysis, establish permanent corrective actions, create 8Ds, communicate to the customer etc.
* Support and manage customer on-site visits, create agenda, participate/present in customer meetings
* Support workstation/cell analyses to improve productivity and quality.
* Capture build issues, create corrective action plan, support Quality Engineering team with item closure
* Support preparation of prototype build shipments according to customer requirements
* Support critical manufacturing process improvement and problem-solving efforts. Aspire to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for manufacturing processes
* Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to assure high quality new product release
* Ensure that CSRs (Customer Specific Requirements) are implemented
* These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned
* BS in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, quality, industrial engineering or similar technical

discipline.

Minimum Requirements:

* BS in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, quality, industrial engineering or similar technical discipline
* Basic computer skills: Google Suite - Sheets, Slides, Docs, etc
* Travel: 10-25% (domestic and international)

Preferred Requirements:

* Manufacturing, startup or automotive experience
* Exposure to Quality core tools
* Exposure to Lean, 5S concepts

At Luminar, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays a base between $83,000 and $117,000 per year. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. You will also be eligible to receive other benefits including: equity in the form of restricted stock unit awards, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, 401k plan, life and disability benefits, flexible time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement for formal education related to advancing your career at Luminar. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire and schedule type.
