POSITION TITLE: Toyota Motor Mfg. Site Technician

REPORTS TO: Toyota Site Manager

Are you interested in becoming an experienced technician in one of the leading industrial companies in the united states? Are you able and capable of working at extreme heights? Konecranes has entry level crane technician positions open that need filled today! As an apprentice crane technician, you will be inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing overhead industrial cranes. Our technicians work in an environment where safety is our number one priority. This position works with our clients to evaluate and make service recommendations to ensure that all equipment is compliant with manufacturer, OSHA and ANSI. If you are drawn to problem solving and would enjoy putting your mechanical skills to use, Konecranes has the position that you have been searching for!

  • Inspect and repair overhead industrial cranes and hoists to verify safety and compliance with Manufacturer, OSHA and ANSI.
  • Strong Mechanical background
  • Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.
  • Ensure professionalism and a high customer service standard.
  • Provide a high level of communication with both Customer and Office.
  • Takes safety of others and self seriously.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of crane repair and maintenance preferred but not required. Ability to work in all elements of weather, extreme heat and cold. Must be able to work required overtime and will be on call as needed. Must be able to climb several flights of stairs/ladders and be able to work at heights of 100 feet. Has the ability to be resourceful in getting the job done and possesses excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to foster teamwork with peers in Operations and in the office.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have a clean driving record. Must be able to climb several flights of stairs/ladders and work at heights up to 100 feet in an aerial work platform. Two years of crane repair experience or two years of Industrial repair required. Understanding of the OSHA/ANSI standards preferred.

EDUCATION: Vocational/technical training and a high school degree or equivalent.
