Part-time Package Handler - Milwaukee, WI job in Pewaukee at SpeeDee Delivery

PART-TIME PACKAGE HANDLER

Spee-Dee Delivery is looking for a self-motivated and independent worker who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As a Package Handler you would unload freight from fleet vehicles, accurately sort freight, and load freight in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.

HOURS AND WAGE:

* Available hours:
* Monday- Friday, 5:00PM- 10:00PM

* Starting wage: $16.00 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Unloads each package by hand from fleet vehicles
* Scans package barcode labels as unloaded for tracking purposes
* Sorts each package by zip code, city, or state
* Stacks freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
* Washes fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
* Performs light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
* Performs other duties as assigned

YOU ARE A GREAT FIT IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

* At least 16 years of age
* Ability to pass a criminal background and work in a drug-free work environment
* Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight in the warehouse that can weigh up to 100 lbs.
* Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently
* Ability to work with all types of freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
