Public Charities Customer Service Representative

Job Responsibilities
Processes daily all filings received for the Public Charities Division of the Secretary of State's Office. This may include the filing of registration statements, applications for exemption, financial reports, contracts, and notice of solicitation for charitable organizations, raffles, professional fundraisers, fundraising counsel and commercial coventurers.
Answers telephone and email inquiries and assists walk-in customers regarding charitable organizations, raffles, and professional fundraisers.
This position will be responsible for opening, sorting, and stamping daily mail for the division. Organizes, sorts and files all paperwork related to violations for charities and professional fundraisers.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
Proficient in basic computer skills.
Ability to communicateeffectively. Preferred Qualifications
* Two (2) years of prior continuous customer service and data entry experience in a professional office environment

Employment in this position will be contingent upon the following:
* an acceptable review of your past employment history, personal references, and other sources, including, but not limited to, the criminal reference check which will be conducted by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
