We are currently looking for an experienced, motivated, and creative individual to fill the position for the Project Manager Regulatory Compliance and Reporting. This position will focus on process, data quality, and collaboration across our organization to improve communication needed to improve regulatory compliance across all functions. The position will be located out of either our Long Beach or Bakersfield, CA offices and is eligible for a hybrid - work-from-home and 9/80 schedule.

Position Focus Areas:

1. Map out and improve business processes for UIC Project by Project Reviews, Well histories, Permitting, and inconclusive MIT-2 tracer surveys.

2. Developing Business process and data quality checks across CRC core systems to ensure accurate regulatory submission.

3. Ensure deadlines for reporting remains in compliance.

4. Develop process documentation for standardized and approved workflows.

5. Identify and correct major process gaps for collaboration with key stakeholders.

6. Act as key collaborator for communicating and integrating regulatory compliance strategies to the RMTs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance/ Reporting

1. Improve data quality and work with stakeholders to address well issues for regulatory reporting.

2. Work with IT and Data Reporting Technicians to ensure processes are set up for internal and external reporting on all compliance work needed.

3. Identify well history and diagram quality issues and create process and controls and address issues.

4. Metric and track data quality initiatives and improvements.

Data and Reporting

1. Be able to work with IT groups to develop and steward project management for capturing and improving our data needed for improving regulatory compliance.

2. Develop controls and process documentation to improve data quality for regulatory reporting.

* Bachelor's Engineering/Business degree or equivalent experience in data science/Project management.
* Preferred 1-2 year working Calgem regulations and oil and gas.
* Process improvement, data quality, and data science experience.
* Experience using source data to build visualizations and reports.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-task, customer service environment.
* Ability to shift focus as needed, but mindful of all open projects and their deadlines.
* Good organization and time management skills.
* Strong ethics, service attitude, team player.

Desired Qualifications

* Familiarity with Calgem rules for the Oil and Gas industry.
* Lean Six Sigma training.
* Strong computer science background.
* Experience in process and data management.
* Machine learning.
* Familiarity with Idle Well compliance requirements.
* Understanding of oil and gas operations.
