Assistant Director Practice Operations - Hospital Based Services - West Georgia

The Assistant Director of Practice Operations provides administrative leadership to WellStar Physician practices within a specific service line. (Services line include, but not limited to:  Hospital Medicine, Palliative Care, Nursing Home, Rehab, Radiation/Oncology)

Responsibilities include planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating and overseeing the operation of all assigned practices. Ensures that quality services are provided according to established policies and procedures. Responsible for working in collaboration with the practice physician(s) and managers to oversee all operations.

Required Minimum Education: Bachelors degree required and Masters degree preferred.

Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: n/a

Required Minimum Experience: Requires three (3) years healthcare management experience, preferably in a physician practice setting.

Required Minimum Skills:  Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.  Knowledge and command of the principles of financial analysis & budgeting, strategic planning, operations, human resources and information systems.  Ability to collect, analyze and apply data and other pertinent information to develop short and long term practice goals and budget needs.  Ability to work independently and to motivate and develop managers and staff.  Work closely with providers and Wellstar Administration to establish and meet short and long term strategic practice goals.  Strong physician relations experience.  Proactively searches for and recommends opportunities to enhance practice services and revenue.  Consistently demonstrates excellent leadership and customer service skills.  Strong change management skills with a focus on consolidation.
