If you possess excellent organizational skills, you may be the right candidate for this Payroll Clerk position at a successful company via Robert Half Finance. Daily tasks may consist of data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution, and providing statements to various departments. This vacancy is based in the Warwick, Rhode Island area and is a full-time opportunity. Candidate must have excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively work with both the internal team and external customers. How you will make an impact - Maintain payroll information by contacting employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals - Maintain office efficiency by fulfilling clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc. - Administer and distribute reports as instructed - Complete other duties as assigned - Deliver instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc. - Produce and run custom reports - Collect and enter data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

Job Requirements

- Strong organization skills --Exposure to Certified Payroll - Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing - Previous payroll experience - High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills - Prior knowledge in Payroll software - Adeptness in data entry - Demonstrated knowledge of scanning - Knowledge of Prevailing Wage - Foundational knowledge in Sage 300 - Microsoft Excel experience - Deep understanding of union payroll - Comprehensive knowledge of payroll - Proven ability to quickly learn new systems
