POSITION SUMMARY:  

Lead the ideation-to-execution of Advanced Analytics solutions across claims lifecycle, to achieve high Return-to-Investment (RoI) on analytics investments. Manage critical relationship with claims stakeholders, advocating and promoting analytics solutions, ensuring high adoption rates.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage cross-function teams, as a Product Owner, comprising of up to 20 resources from IT, Global Analytics and other vendor partners.
  • Lead change management, to ensure business adoption of analytics solutions to improve claims outcome and to ensure analytics goals are achieved.
  • Achieve ROI (Return-on-Investment) from analytics investments, by tracking and monitoring business impact from analytics solutions, and ideate/ execute ideas to further improve impact.
  • Effectively translate claims analytics business needs to analytics use cases. Partner with visualization, modeling, IT and other teams to develop and deliver analytics solutions meeting the needs of claims stakeholders.
  • Lead the engagement and relationship with claims stakeholders to ensure adoption of analytics solutions, while managing user expectations.
  • Ideate potential analytics solutions and collaborate with senior claims stakeholders to improve claims outcomes.
  • Be an advocate of analytics solutions and market solutions internally and externally, in addition to contributing to thought wares.
  • Ensure documentation is thorough, captured appropriately, meets best practices and compliance standards and is easily assessable to the team members.

Qualifications

Key Qualifications

  • Strong business acumen and vision, with good understanding of Property and Casualty insurance, claims management and analytics.
  • Skilled at being an ‘Analytics Translator’, developing and exercising cross-functional influence across claims stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Negotiation skills to find compromises and tradeoffs in analytics solutions, while maximizing delivered value
  • Excellent communication and MS Office skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across multiple audiences and partners.
  • Consultative skills with ability to listen, define business objectives, generate enthusiasm, while balancing big picture and details.
  • Able to build productive cross-functional relationships with Analytics, Data Science and IT teams, at all levels.
  • Ability to lead impactful programs independently under concurrent deadlines.
  • Understanding of technical platforms / software development cycle would be a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors required. MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of combined business, team leadership and technology experience
  • 5+ years of predictive analytics, machine learning and/or consulting experience including managing client relationships (internal/external)
  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager designing, implementing and managing change, in an Agile framework
  • Experience in process improvements and business modeling concepts
  • Experience driving the integration of metrics, analytics, and/or predictive modeling tools into business processes, resulting in improved strategic decision making, process efficiency, and the desired return on investment.
  • Advanced professional certifications (CPCU, ARM) a plus
