Our client has two open immediate roles for Electronics Engineers with a focus on embedded firmware and hardware.
1 position is for someone that has experience leaning towards the Firmware side of development. Programming in C with 8/16/32 bit microcontrollers. Experience with Bluetooth, especially BLE is very desireable. They use a Nordic chipset for their BLE technology.
1 position is for someone that has experience leaning towards Hardware. This engineer can me more junior level with a few years of experience. Should be familiar with Lab equipment and be hands on in a lab. They use Altium for schematic capture and layout.
Lead the design, development, and release to production of embedded electronic systems for high volume consumer/industrial products
Oversee the embedded hardware and firmware design, integration, testing, validation, documentation; taking responsibility for both individual work and the work of direct reports.
Ability to translate customer requirements into sound electrical system designs.
Ability to lead an engineering team including engineers, technicians, designers and to interface with other stakeholders such as product marketing and manufacturing.
Develop system and sub-system verification procedures that include unit and integration testing and then manufacturing quality plans and test requirements.
Provides leadership in achieving cost, performance and quality objectives of all related electronic systems, components, and sub-assemblies.
Ability to travel and interface with overseas electronic contract manufacturers, and provide technical direction to obtain quality electronics assemblies for product production.
Ability to handle 2-3 concurrent projects and flexibility to absorb business requirements and drive results.
BSEE, BSCE or equivalent (4 years) from accredited electrical engineering college
8+ years of work experience in the development and launch of high volume electronic assemblies in a fast-paced environment
Expertise in micro-controller based electronic systems; preference for firmware development experience with platforms such as PIC, AVR, ARM, Nordic
Experience leading technical staff and developing talent
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence the organization and to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Ability to generate and creative ideas and influence others while remaining open to feedback
