The Risk Policy Senior Officer I provides Independent Risk Global Secured product oversight for the $92 Billion Residential Real estate (RRE) portfolios for PBWM. The individual will have credit risk oversight of the North America CitiMortgage portfolios to drive asset growth initiatives and will additionally focus on governance, controls, policies, risk appetite, capital return framework, and portfolio monitoring.

Objective: Support the Group Risk Director (GRD) function providing credit risk oversight of the North America CitiMortgage portfolios, participate in portfolio monitoring/management activities to identify emerging trends, perform review and analysis of Portfolio Risk Appetite Framework, portfolio categorization, and other Consumer related approvals. Support integration activities for Private Bank, including policy development and implementation of identified portfolio oversight enhancements. Lead PBWM mortgage policy development/update activities.

Responsibilities: The candidate will work closely with a broad set of stakeholders across first and second line risk, in addition to finance and operations teams, across all regions, ensuring adherence to Citi's Risk Governance Framework and the Global Consumer Credit Policies. The role will perform risk analysis including: geographic, credit risk concentrations, monitoring of portfolio performance against risk appetite guardrails & benchmarks, credit transactions approvals, draft enhancements of mortgage policies. The senior policy analyst plays a critical role in the review, analysis and assessment of risks of the CitiMortgage portfolio including quarterly balanced scorecards, quality control framework, risk appetite and benchmark annual renewal, Senior Loan Officer Survey (SLOOS), collateral management scorecards, portfolio quality reports, concentration reports. The role will involve the preparation of materials for various senior risk committees and regulator meetings and participate in review forums such as Portfolio Quality Review and Residential Real Estate roundtable. The senior policy analyst will when required, utilize data mining tools (such as SAS, Excel) to drive answers to analytic challenges and information for management decisions. The role will provide independent review and challenge of the quarterly Credit Change Log, Test and Significant Credit change reports submitted to Independent Risk.

The senior policy analyst will play a leading role in the PBWM and CPB mortgage policy target-state initiatives, driving mortgage policy changes, socialization and approval and will (when required) participate in Risk Transformation projects. The role will be critical for driving timely preparation of the annual FDICIA Global Real Estate limit review and approval process and will support the GRD team during Internal Audits through preparation of deliverables, inquiries and managing issue discussions and remediation.

Development Value: potential to grow into a portfolio, functional independent risk manager role. The senior policy analyst will have exposure to international markets in PBWM that will provide opportunity to gain knowledge of non-US mortgage portfolios, regulations and portfolio dynamics and trends.

**Qualifications -**

10+ years experience in consumer risk management with sound knowledge in consumer real estate, including collateral risk management, servicing, and regulatory requirements. Knowledge in other consumer lending products a definite advantage.

- strong sense of risk governance, policy compliance & regulatory compliance.

- prior experience in risk risk management analytics

- prior experience in consumer credit model, Basel and CCAR a definite advantage

- prior experience programming and solving credit/collections business problems using SAS

- experience in optimization of operational metrics given various business constraints

- Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree preferred.

- strong sense of accountability and ownership with strong work ethic

- ability to digest and synthesize disparate data and prioritize and drive results

- strong problem solving and decision making skills

- strong written and verbal communication skills

- strong finance & analytic skills

- ability to work well under pressure with exceedingly short deadlines and minimal supervision
