Summary

The Development & Advancement Associate is responsible for supporting and driving the programs and fundraising operations of the Advancement Office and the Friends of Foundation Academies.

Development Systems

* Oversee gift tracking and processing systems (Salesforce, MailChimp, and Soapbox)
* Establish roles and permissions
* Create fundraising reports and dashboards for SR Director of Advancement, Friends Executive Director, and CEO as needed
* Manage relationships on the database and communicate accordingly with various stakeholders (Board of Directors, Executive Director, and the SR Director of Advancement) for updates
* Maintain foundation, corporation and individual donor files (on the database and server)

Advancement Support

* Process donations and prepare acknowledgment letters and other correspondence.
* Process payments grant expenses from the schools (teacher appreciation, etc.)
* Coordinate production and mailing of spring and year-end appeal letters and incentives.
* Support volunteer events (primarily for corporate engagement, community organizations and associations)
* Maintain event rsvp lists, gather and prepare event materials and other duties as assigned for fundraising events.
* Support Student Ambassador Program
* Support Board Ambassador Program
* Maintain FAmily Tree data
* Track volunteer participation
* Conduct preliminary research on prospective corporate, foundation and individual donors.

* Increase Program Engagement: Improve application processes and outreach strategies to increase the number of applicants for grants and scholarships by 15% within the next fiscal year
Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously refine these processes.
* Enhance Program Visibility: Elevate the visibility and engagement with Knight Fund programs through the effective management and regular updating of literature, website information, and recruiting materials, aiming for a 20% increase in website traffic and program inquiries.
* Optimize Fundraising Operations: Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of gift tracking and processing systems, reducing errors and discrepancies by 10% over the next year
Regularly audit systems and provide training to relevant staff to maintain high standards.
* Improve Donor Relations: Process donations and prepare acknowledgment letters within 48 hours of receipt, aiming for a 25% increase in donor satisfaction as measured by feedback surveys
Implement a donor communication plan to keep donors informed and engaged.
* Streamline Administrative Processes: Provide efficient administrative support to the Advancement Department, resulting in a 15% increase in overall office productivity
Regularly review and improve administrative workflows to reduce bottlenecks and improve response times.
* Support Volunteer Engagement: Enhance volunteer engagement by tracking participation and providing clear communication and support, aiming for a 20% increase in volunteer retention and satisfaction.
* Enhance Data Management: Implement and maintain robust data management practices to ensure the integrity and security of donor and program participant information, achieving compliance with data protection regulations and reducing data-related issues by 10%.
* Expand Communication Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and engaged, leading to a 20% increase in stakeholder engagement and satisfaction.
* Measure Impact: Regularly assess and report on the impact of fundraising and program activities, using data and feedback to demonstrate the value of the Knight Fund, aiming for a 15% increase in reported program success and stakeholder trust.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree
* 1-3 years of office experience preferred, with a preference for the nonprofit or educational sector
Experience with nonprofit and communications & CRMs a plus.
