The Buyer will be responsible for:
- Strategic and tactical procurement of indirect goods and services through research, sourcing, and negotiating, with suppliers in accordance with policies
- Performing all duties associated with Purchase Order creation, maintenance, and management for corporate indirect goods and services requirements in the Oracle R12 ERP system
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, U.S. Food and Drug Administration and DOT/IATA, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and other applicable agencies
- Developing, updating, and implementing effective sourcing strategies to ensure a continuous supply of quality and competitively priced goods and services
- Negotiating supply agreements for key indirect goods and services to reduce total cost and improve delivery and quality
- Participating in the evaluation and measurement of supplier quality, supplier on-time delivery, and total cost reduction for key indirect goods and services
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Operations Management, Purchasing, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or other related field
- 3-5+ years’ purchasing experience
- Thorough knowledge of Quality Systems, especially those regulations pertaining to vendors and materials
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Oracle R12 ERP System experience and expertise
- Demonstrated knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and other National and International regulations and standards
Desired skills
- APICS certification
- Experience in a regulated industry, including medical device, pharma, aerospace, automotive, or defense
