Digital IP Design Engineer - Entry Level

Business Line Description:

Be an integral member of a highly-experienced team in R&D that is responsible for architecting and designing complex mixed-signal IP for use in advanced microcontrollers and microprocessors. The IP for which this team is responsible enables a product portfolio with over four billion USD in annual revenue. Chances are that the car you drive, the intelligent devices that pervade your living space and the factories that produce the goods you use will contain one or more of the chips that you contribute to.

We are part of MCU/MPU Engineering, a central design organization within NXP, developing products for multiple business lines in Automotive, Internet of Things (IoT), Networking, and Radio Frequency products, with expertise in hardware engineering, including architecture, IP, and full SoC Design.

Job Summary:

* As part of this role you will work on all aspects of Digital Mixed Signal IP Design starting from RTL Design through verification and physical design build flow, with emphasis on physical design flow from RTL to GDS2
* Working on Constraints, Synthesis, Place and Route flow, physical integration, DRC, LVS is part of our day to day activities
* Micro-architecture specification and verilog RTL coding
* Verification test bench development
* Fluency in design & verification languages such as VHDL, Verilog, C and System Verilog.
* Running digital static checks: LINT, CDC, RDC, LEC
* RTL simulation in UVM environment
* Document designs and present reviews to peers
* Guide Product teams on IP integration at SoC level

Key Qualifications:

* BSEE or MSEE in Electrical/Electronics/Computer engineering
* Ability to work with scripting Languages Perl, TCL and Python
* Ability to work on both Synopsys and Cadence Tool flows is plus.
* Understanding basic aspects of Physical Design, Integration, STA and Physical Verification
* Familiar with Low Power intent verification using CPF, UPF
* Ability to work with a creative and innovative mind set both individually as well as in a team.
