ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
•Manage and transfer relationships from previous experience
at J&J, Revlon, Colgate, L’Oréal, and regional contract manufacturers
•Develops and executes business plans, strategies, action
plans, milestones and budgets within the framework of the Global Surface
Chemistry and Commercial Excellence strategy.
•Analyses and interprets the market dynamics and the
position of these product groups for the Personal Care applications market
segment in the Americas region.
•Ensures development of marketing/sales plans, targets are
met and new business opportunities are identified and pursued. Supervises the
execution and takes corrective actions as needed.
•Gives fundamental input to the global co-ordination teams
for the segment.
•Within the approved marketing strategy for the assigned
segment ensures that;
customer base is segmented:
appropriate level of service is defined and maintained per customer segment
optimal, competitive product range is maintained & pruned on an on-going
pricing and terms are established
operating working capital is optimized
projects initiated, monitored
•Supports the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care and
implements the Management Practices.
•Maintains effective management systems and programs in line
with overall Company goals and policies.
•Represents the BU both inside and outside Nouryon. Builds and maintains a network of business
contacts in support of organizational objective.
•Communicates and promotes Business Ethics principles in
general and from Nouryon in particular. Ensures that Business Ethics principles
are central to the business processes used in the department.
•Responsible for the leadership and career development of
the personnel defined in attached organizational chart. For indirect reports
coordinates with the appropriate Managers.
•B.S. Engineer, preferably Mechanical or Chemical.
•Minimum 5 years Personal Care Sales experience, 10 years
Sales overall or close, in the North and/or Southeast region preferably
•Skilled in handling a minimum $5 million territory with up
to 40% travel
•Self-starter with proven track record of “new “business
success in PC sales in Northeast/Southeast
•Expert in Sun Screen and Hair Styling segments
•Proven leadership and interpersonal skills; i.e., can start
from formula suggestion to first sale successfully with proven track record
•Good communication skills
•Six Sigma Certification and good working knowledge of SAP a
