As an Associate Director within our network contracting team, you'll guide the development and support of provider networks as well as unit cost management activities through financial and network pricing modeling, analysis and reporting. If you are located in Portland, OR or the state of Washington, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges





Primary Responsibilities:




  • Guide development of geographically competitive, broad access, stable networks that achieve objectives for unit cost performance and trend management

  • Develop functional, market level and/or site strategy, plans, production and/or organizational priorities

  • Apply network configuration and incentive-based payment models as appropriate to improve quality and efficiency

  • Identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems

  • Direct work that impacts entire functions and/or customer accounts (internal or external)

  • Lead contractual negotiations

  • Lead with provider strategy development and execution

  • Maintain an ongoing knowledge of provider’s business 

  • Provide positive alternatives to complex situations encountered by providers and manage expectations

  • Work with the Network Managers to maintain and strengthen provider relationships

  • Escalate provider concerns internally and to help solve complex issues

  • Communicate effectively with providers via face - to - face meetings, conference calls, video conferencing and written correspondence

  • Manage contractual obligations including but not limited to contract compliance

  • Assist in development and delivery of financial modeling to support contracting activities

  • Be a self - starter, produce quality work, make decisions, and deliver on commitments

Required Qualifications:




  • 5+ years of experience in a network management-related role handling complex network providers with accountability for business results

  • 3+ years of experience working cross functionally with teams including, but not limited to, Industry and Network, Client, Clinical, Analytics, Sales, Business Development, Finance 

  • 2+ years of experience developing product pricing and utilizing financial modeling in making rate decisions

  • 2+ years of experience managing medical expense and administrative budget

  • 2+ years of experience with provider contracting

  • Ability to travel up to 25% 

  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifcations:




  • Expert level of knowledge of PDPM, Capitation, FFS and other contract methodologies

  • Experience creating structure, clarity, and effective plans, when faced with ambiguity and complexity

  • Healthcare industry experience, with emphasis on Skilled Nursing Facility





Soft Skills:




  • Monitors and guides team capabilities and deliverables

  • Shares thoughts and feelings openly and shows interest in others

  • Tracks progress and adjusts plans

  • Develops or selects the essential and appropriate structures for each task
