Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using PHP, MySQL, and other relevant technologies.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions to improve overall system reliability.
- Contribute to the development of APIs and web services to support various internal and external applications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience as a PHP Developer or Backend Engineer, with a strong focus on server-side development.
- Proficient in PHP, MySQL, and related frameworks (such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services development.
- Solid understanding of database design principles and experience working with large-scale databases.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of frontend technologies like JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related frameworks.
