Air Freight Forwarders with these qualifications will be preferred:

IATA, Spanish, Air Freight and Imp/Exp experience 2 years, Associates degree

Air Freight Forwarder Duties:

• Coordinate all Air Import/Export Freight activities- quotations, bookings, documentation, data entry, shipment tracking and billing.
• Issue airway bills, bills of lading, invoicing, and maintain documentation of shipment records.
• Prepare and maintain monthly performance reports.
• Verify payable invoices prior to transmitting to accounting.
• Communicate with airlines, vendors, truckers, customers, warehouse personnel, etc.
• The Air Freight Forwarder will Negotiate spot rates with service providers.
• Verify weights and dimensions of cargo and maintenance of records of discrepancies.
• Advise clients of transport alternatives, terms of delivery, insurance, freight costs, import/export requirements, scheduling, and payments.
• Comply with regulatory requirements for dangerous/controlled goods transport, export control declarations, permits, licenses and filings.
• Monitor and maintain inbound/outbound freight activities and verify accuracy of records.
• Air Freight Forwarders enter data into the company logistics software of invoices, AWBs and other documentation records.
• Regularly maintain all points of contact with company customers, vendors, and agents.

ITAR or Hazmat experience are a plus.
