Provides comprehensive behavior analysis services to individuals at Woods Services. BCBA’s provide high quality services in the areas of functional behavior assessments, development of positive behavioral support plans, using evidence based behavioral techniques resulting in significant change and generalization in all settings.   


  • Provide behavior analyst services for students on caseload;
  • Conduct functional behavioral assessments and write reports summarizing results in accordance with state requirements;
  • Develop positive behavior support plans utilizing evidence-based interventions;
  • Train staff on behavior support plans and function-based interventions and monitor fidelity;
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of data and make programming adjustments as needed;
  • Provide direct skills/behavior therapy with individuals on caseload as required by funding agencies and program expectations;
  • Complete requested summaries, and other paperwork in a timely manner and in compliance with Reevaluation evaluations (RR), IEP, and funding agencies;
  • Monitors the effectiveness of positive behavior support plans (PBSP) to determine effectiveness.
  • Serves on the School Wide Positive Behavior Support Team in assigned school(s).
  • Participates in IEP and RR meetings to present progress, goals, and interventions to the team members;
  • Consults with all team members regarding individual’s needs, status, and progress and provide expertise to staff in understanding behavioral strengths and needs;
  • Maintains effective communication and working relationships with Woods Services administration and co-workers.
  • Develops and provides training to teachers, staff, classrooms or groups as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • BCBA required. 
  • Master’s degree in school psychology or related human services field with requisite coursework in applied behavior analysis. 
  • Background in the development and implementation of behavioral interventions and various modalities of psychological treatment in accordance with highest standards of practice.  
  • Expertise/training in the use of psychological assessment tools such as Functional Behavior Assessment and positive behavior support plans. 
  • Knowledge of normal human development and experience providing evaluation and treatment to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or co-morbid mental health disorders.
  • Knowledge of school wide positive behavior supports is preferred.  
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team framework and manage various levels of family functioning. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills necessary. 
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work with parents/staff/individuals with varying cognitive abilities and skill levels in a school setting.
  • Experience with IEP team meeting is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, pursue individuals on foot, and physically restrain (with appropriate training), bend squat, and reach.
  • Prior to employment, personnel requirements include professional references, criminal clearances, and child abuse clearances.
  • School-based experiences and training are preferred.
