A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION PROVIDING MENTAL HEALTH SOLUTIONS
Provides psychosocial services to the community. Provides direct and indirect services to clients. Provide individual, group, conjoint, and family therapy, both short and long term.
Provide direct psychosocial services, including supportive individual counseling, crisis intervention, group therapy, and case management. Conduct intake evaluations and provide all case management services for those clients as needed until a primary therapist is assigned.
Provide Officer of the Day (O.D.) and walk-in clients coverage as scheduled and perform necessary walk-in intervention, including, but not limited to, intake evaluation, support triage, support for involuntary hospitalization.
Complete all required documentation, report writing, and correspondence within the mandated time frames. Maintain productivity standards established for program. Provide all case management services to assigned clients as needed.
Provide consultation and education to the community as needed. Submit weekly schedule of client appointments. Perform assertive community outreach to clients as necessary.
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
Registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFT Intern) or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW)
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a mental health setting. Community mental health experience desirable. Experience with the severely, mentally ill desirable.
Must maintain current status as a licensed professional under California law. Must have a valid California Driver License in good standing and personal, and insurable by the Center’s auto insurance carrier. Must pass fingerprint clearance and pre-employment physical.
Strong motivation to learn, particularly short-term individual and group therapy skills. Capacity for self-examination, self-disclosure, and ability to empathize are essential.
Be able and willing to work one evening per week. Culturally sensitive and competent. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
