Technical Services Assistant Campus Kokomo

Indiana University Kokomo Library seeks collegial, motivated candidates for the position of Technical Services Assistant. This is a full-time professional position responsible for providing technical and clerical support for all activities of technical services in the Library.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to: acquiring, receiving, processing, and cataloging materials; processing and approving invoices; claiming missing materials; maintaining the online public catalog; and maintaining holdings in a national database of library materials. This position will assist with the management of electronic resources, including access, administration, and support through the Electronic Resource Management system.

•Earned Associate of Applied Science degree (Library Technical Assistant Associate of Science degree preferred) or a bachelor’s degree (any major) or significant library experience with a minimum of 60 hours toward a bachelor’s degree
•Excellent technology skills
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office
•Ability to work independently or as part of a team
•Affinity for detailed work
•Problem solving skills
•Exceptional written and verbal communication
•Understanding of basic library methods, techniques, and procedures
•Knowledge of bibliographic formats
•Library employment experience preferred
