ResponsibilitiesInvestigating potential new suppliers and subcontractors
Continually surveying the market for better pricing, quality, and service
Researching products and clarifying specifications
Vendor selection after comparison evaluations
Vendor negotiations on pricing and terms
Track orders to ensure availability and to meet schedules
Maintain all necessary files
Resolve any vendor discrepancies
- Strong negotiation and networking skills
- Ability to research and source products/materials
- Keen sense of self-motivation and attention to detail
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Experience in purchasing/buying a plus but not mandatory
