The Social Work Supervisor provides on-going training and supervision to the clinical staff. The Supervisor may be called upon to perform any of the line functions normally performed by a social worker/case manager and is expected to be fully proficient in those areas. The Supervisor is familiar with all standards and functions as an internal resource on evidence based treatment and school policies.
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Evaluates appropriateness of school plans and approves these based upon an understanding of the interests of the schools, as well as any safety/risk concerns.
Facilitates weekly clinical supervision or case conferences with social work staff
Reviews documentation to ensure that documentation meets standards.
Oversees and ensures the quality of services provided and the implementation of evidence-based models of service delivery.
Collaborates and partners with school staff.
Evaluates supervisees and ensures timeliness of all documentation.
Completes job performance evaluations and provides professional development support on a regular basis.
May supervise student interns.
Understands myAvatar and other electronic or survey formats used by the program
Provides all necessary notes, progress notes, other paperwork as required by DOE and JBFCS.
Covers for Director in his/her absence
EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED:
LCSW preferred, LMSW with appropriate clinical experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE:
A minimum of three years of related experience; work in schools or with adolescents preferred.
