LKQ is looking to hire a highly reliable and skilled Shuttle Driver (tractor trailer) with driving knowledge, has an excellent work ethic, motivated, and enjoys working hard. This position is perfect for you if you have a Class A CDL, enjoy working hard, have an excellent work ethic, motivated, proficient at handling multiple tasks, can read work orders, and follow oral instructions from Management. As a Shuttle Driver you will be expected to make daily runs to Atlanta GA, take care of the truck, verify condition of truck, follow all DOT rules and regulations, elogs.



Essential Job Duties:



  • Drives truck to Atlanta, GA and back.

  • Verifies the condition of the truck, the manifest, and other paperwork associated with the delivery.

  • Goes through check in process when returning to the location to verify parts and paperwork.

  • Complies with established company policies and procedures.

  • Initiates and supports the continual improvement of Keystone Automotive Industries' quality improvement system.

  • Assumes other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements:


Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights. They must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb and be able to move/lift up to 75 pounds regularly. They must be able to climb ladders, stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Should be able to tolerate high and low temperature levels. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.



Education & Experience: High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent desired. Must have Class A CDL. Must have at least 2 years tractor and trailer experience, nature of work performed, procedures, work methods, to become familiar with the company's products, locations, equipment, , and to attain proficiency requirements and to fully assume responsibilities of the job. Forklift certification, pallet jack, pull cart and RF gun scanning beneficial.



Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: General knowledge and ability to perform relatively simple work using basic arithmetic. Must be able to recognize and understand Transfer labels. Must be familiar with the company's products and warehouse methods, techniques and procedures. Must be able to work in cooperation with others. Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. Must be able to communicate effectively with others. Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends. Should possess special skills in the operation of a forklift in negotiating the lift in close quarters.

Essential Job Duties:


1. Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents.


2. Physically loads Company truck at the branch and verifies the condition of the truck, the manifest and other paperwork associated with the deliveries to be made.


3. Drives to the delivery destination and physically unloads the truck, verifies parts unloaded, obtains signature of receiving location confirming the accuracy of parts shown on the order and those received and signs off on the integrity of what was loaded at the location.


4. Makes proper notations on the manifest and provides receipts on parts being returned from customers to the branch.


5. Picks up buy out purchase orders from vendors on vendor "fill in" purchase orders and delivers parts back to the branch or customer.


6. Collects accounts receivable, as necessary.


7. Works in such a manner as to prevent shortages and damage to products.


8. Complies with established Company policies and procedures.


9. Assumes other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands):



Education and Experience: High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent preferred. Some college coursework is desired. Minimum of six months driving and warehouse operations experience. Possess a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Must qualify for Corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance. Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations when/as required. Please note, due to DOT requirements, the minimum age for this position is 21 years of age.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Possess comprehensive knowledge of replacement parts for the aftermarket collision repair industry. Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with the Company's warehouse and delivery methods, techniques and procedures. Possess the ability to perform basic math calculations, interpret road maps, effectively communicate on an interpersonal verbal basis and proficiently use telephones. Must be able to work in cooperation with others. Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. Must be able to communicate effectively with others.

Requires sitting for relatively long periods of time, while driving. It also requires frequent bending, climbing, movement and lifting of up to 75 pounds during physical loading/unloading of trucks and when stocking products.
