Operations Manager - Lennar Title

Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for operational functions related to providing title services to customers. This associate will partner with and act as a liaison between Lennar’s mortgage and builder divisions to ensure that compliance, policy adherence, production goals, and timelines are met, while ensuring employee conformance to established practices and the proper training of staff. They typically manage production employees but may act as a functional manager with no direct reports.
- Manages work activities and operations of a functional area or department that supports the title process.
- Provides input to operational plans and works with Senior Management to ensure that plans are integrated with broader strategies.
- Acts as a liaison with Escrow/Branch managers and leaders of other functions/ operations/ business units and provides feedback and resolution on escalated issues, process. issues/changes and results. Coordinate and monitor efforts between groups.
- May work with vendors who provide services to FA, typically pre-approved; monitor/manage vendor compliance, cost effectiveness, quality, and timeliness of work.
- Improve processes/quality of output; in smaller locations, may manage a wider range of vendors including office management providers.
Responsibilities
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works on a diverse range of problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors and an understanding of current business and trends.
- Regularly reviews quality of work and occasionally spot check completed escrow files to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in determining objectives and approaches to project completion.
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives, establishes goals, and assigns resources to meet schedules and goals.
- Interacts with management and peers in other departments for purposes of gaining cooperation, exchanging technical information, and presenting project plans and reports.
- Assists customers by resolving complaints, expediting orders, explaining procedures, and pricing schedules as needed.
- Provides resources and creates systems to measure results. Familiar with competitors, financial, and industry dynamics.
- Actively recruits, retains, and develops talent, and holds employees accountable for results. Leads change, manages conflict, and fosters collaboration.
- Drives and models customer loyalty, manages customer expectations, solicits customer feedback to ensure commitments are met.
- Collaboratively engages with leaders to create, identify, and implement solutions to further effectiveness of the business.
Qualifications
Typical Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- College-level management courses helpful.
Typical Range of Experience
- 5-7 years of directly related experience in the title and escrow industry, including residential, commercial, and exchanges.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Demonstrated success establishing, leading and maintaining effective working relationships at the Department Management level.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of company operating systems/applications.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Successful track record designing, developing, and executing complex projects.
- Can influence the thinking of or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations using influence.
