Job Description

Adecco is assisting a local client that is looking to bring on an  IT Technician in the Rapid City area. This assignment is scheduled to begin in July 2019 and will last approximately 12 months. This is a full-time opportunity during that time. As an IT Technician, you will be in charge of providing quality technical application and hardware support throughout the organization as well as maintaining and repairing any internal IT issues. You will be expected to provide exceptional customer service and timeliness to all issues throughout various departments of the organization. Responsibilities for this Contract IT Technician -
  • Manage and plan daily schedule, prioritizing most important first
  • Resolve and document all customer support issues
  • Diagnose any PC related issues and problems
  • Perform any PC updates and maintenance issues including all hardware and software upgrades
  • Utilize diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and/or research all technical problems reported by internal users
  • Perform back-up procedures for assigned files, restoration and retrieval of all files
  • Track inventory including but not limited to PC's, terminals, laptops and other equipment as needed
  • Evaluate, test, troubleshoot and implement operating systems and application software
  • Other responsibilities as required to fulfill the needs of the internal staff and IT department
  • Relevant and recent work history
  • At least 2-5 years of IT Networking experience required
  • Minimum 1-3 years of desktop support or help desk experience highly preferred
  • Ability to prioritize the daily work flow and incoming support tickets
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot over phone, through e-mail, and desktop support applications
  • Ability to follow verbal and written communications along with being able to follow company policies and protocol
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service at all times
  • Must have balanced experience between software and hardware
  • Ability to evaluate onsite needs, ordering parts, installing and configuring the systems network
  • Ability to document and track all customer contacts, issues, questions and interactions
  • Degree in Computer Science specifically in Network Administration is preferred but not required
Pay for this position is $22- $27/hour depending upon experience
This is a full -time position, schedule could vary depending upon business needs. This is a contract assignment that will last approximately 12 months and will begin in July 2019.
