What You Will Do :
Lead organizational DEIA assessments and advise on ways to incorporate DEIA into policies, programs, and outreach materials.
Review policies, procedures, guidelines, reports, recruitment practices, etc. and advise on DEIA factors.
Facilitate implementation of recommendations and reforms regarding DEIA activities.
Developing DEIA strategic plans and associated implementation workplans with clear timelines, targets, and objectives for achieving, which may include, but are not limited to:
Organizational Leadership
Internal and External Accountability/Transparency
Continuous Quality Improvement
Program Design
Workplace Culture & Climate
Strategic Partnerships
Performance Measures
Hiring and Retention
Procurement/Operational Systems
Plan/curate/facilitate all-staff working sessions to help organizations meet their DEIA goals.
Provide progress updates on the development process, approvals, and implementation for DEIA policy changes as well as the adoption of new policies and programs.
Support the development and implementation of training plans to increase diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and anti-racist efforts.
Support other DEIA initiatives and needs as they arise.
What You Will Need :
Bachelors degree or higher in business management, organizational psychology, communications, or other relevant subject matter
Minimum 6+ years of professional work experience
Minimum 3+ years of experience in working in the DEIA field or leading DEIA programs at a senior capacity
Experience managing teams of at least 3+ employees
Experience in advising and supporting senior management professionals on issues surrounding DEIA topics and policies
Experience in federal government or federal government consulting and/or familiarity with US Government regulations on equal opportunity, non-discrimination, and inclusion
Understanding of change management and communications principles, methods, practices, and techniques, including skill in presenting ideas in speech and in written form to inform and persuade audiences at all levels of the organization
Ability to design, develop, and deliver strategic communications through a variety of media, including graphical materials, PowerPoint, and online engagement
Strong organizational skillssomeone with the ability to work with little direction on complex tasks and competing demands
Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Excellent technical analytical and problem-solving skills.
What Would Be Nice To Have :
Masters degree in a relevant field such as communications, organization psychology or management, or a related degree.
Certification or training in change management, or diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (e.g., eCornell, Prosci)
Management consulting experience
Facilitation expertise
Experience with Human-Centered Design
Desire and willingness to gain technical skills and capabilities in DEIA management, strategy development, talent management, process mapping, organizational change, workforce planning and analysis, data analysis and visualization, and/or competency management, to include desire to obtain relevant industry certifications (such as Project Management Professional)
Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
The annual salary range for this position is $98,400.00-$196,900.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
