The
JM Family College Internship program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study.
The program is a 10 week paid internship located in Deerfield Beach, FL. Students must be available to intern from June 1 - August 7, 2020. Students in the program will actively contribute to their team's success, learn about JM Family's company and culture and obtain new skills through learning opportunities and networking events. The individual selected for this internship will be responsible for supporting their department in a variety of functions and will have exposure to activities related to the department's initiatives. The intern will also gain access to professional development opportunities through the internship program. Some of these opportunities include business presentation skills classes, lunch and learns and career readiness workshops.
Job DescriptionThe individual selected for this internship will be responsible for supporting JM Family's
ITS Finance department. This internship will provide the opportunity to support the team in a variety of daily functions and projects that involves Reporting & Analytics, Financial Analysis & Modeling, Process Mapping, and Procedural Documentation.
Job responsibilities may include:
- Reconciling and analyzing data from various sources
- Assisting with financial reporting & data entry
- Preparing statements, entering data, and assisting with creating procedures
- Various financial analysis
- End of Internship Presentation
Job Requirements - Must be a minimum of 18 years old at the start of the program (June 1, 2020)
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university in Accounting
- Completed at least one semester of study at an accredited college or university
- Relevant completed coursework in Accounting or Finance
- Must possess excellent analytical and math skills
- Must be an analytical thinker & the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Essbase (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to switch tasks on short notice, multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and self-starter
