Job Description

There is a health plan in the Bay Area that is looking for a Performance Improvement Manager to directly manage the day to day operations and staff of the Performance Improvement Department and functions.Actively supports, develops, educates and implements strategic goals and core values of the organization for all lines of business. Provides management and oversight in the areas of Performance Improvement (HCC, P4P, HEDIS, patient satisfaction and Medicare STAR), process improvement and prevention. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years or more of comparable managing performance/quality improvement reporting initiatives. Health plan or Medical Group experience - day to day operations Experience in a physician group model Strong problem solver with a ?can do? attitude Ability to instill confidence, inspire and motivate others Must possess a participative leadership management style Strong ability to communicate at all levels Must be mission driven, clinically oriented, strong integrity and the ability to serve as a role model and mentor to staff and other leaders Must possess critical thinking and problem solving skills, strategic planning ability, project management skills and the ability to make effective decisions Strong ability to forecast healthcare trends and lead change within the organization Experience in effective leadership with development of patient focused environments Ability to inspire and engage people and build strong relationships among staff and physicians Must possess a strong understanding of the current and evolving Federal, State and Local laws and regulations regarding healthcare delivery, as well as current knowledge of healthcare trends and best practices BA/BS degree required and/or equivalent training and experience MS in Public Health preferred We are an equal employment opportunity employer and will consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age (40 and over), gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other protected classification under federal and state law.
