Position Requirements • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred • 6+ years of experience in configuration management. • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key information technology system development tasks and high impact assignments. • Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. • May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist. • Secret Security clearance required • Familiar with a variety of configuration management concepts, practices and procedures • Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals • Lead or direct the work of others • Located at Prince Frederick, Maryland Job Duties/Tasks This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following: • Position provides program management, configuration and data management (CM/DM) support for the development of information systems for the Naval Air Systems Command. Also participates in corporate business development and strategic growth initiatives. • Applies project principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate information technology systems in support of military weapon systems. • Reviews and prepares project and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. • Applies project experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. • Analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapon systems, associated support systems, or management information systems. • As the project manager for the contracted effort, ensure project procedures and controls are followed, manage manning and staffing project efforts, and lead problem resolution efforts • Interfaces with system or program contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of the programs/projects. • Actively manages Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) and resources to ensure excellent performance and achievement of program goals and objectives. • Participates in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, verification, and accounting for systems and equipment in accordance with policies, guidelines, and procedures. • Assists with maintaining appropriate records and prepares reports for the program. • Prepares and assists with coordination, progress, and status reporting on program Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs). • Develops and presents briefings as required in support of direct work and corporate activities. • Works with Contracts and Finance competencies to respond to RFQs, ROM requests, SOW/PWS reviews, and contract modifications. • Interfaces directly with government and/or prime customer program manager to ensure positive communication and to resolve any issues in a timely manner. • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
