Volunteers of America is opening a new Fresh Start Recovery Center in Columbus, IN. We are currently seeking an energetic, self-motivated, dynamic professional to join our Columbus Fresh Start Program team. Fresh Start is a family-focused residential addictions treatment program for mothers and their children. The Fresh Start Recovery Centers focus on helping mothers recover from opioid and other drug addictions and have healthy children. Fresh Start Recovery Centers serve pregnant women and mothers struggling with addiction. Our residential treatment provides 24/7 support to clients. This program uniquely allows mothers and children to remain together during treatment.
The Treatment Counselor is responsible for providing substance abuse treatment to assigned clients in accordance with VOA, DMHA, The Department of Child Services, Medicaid, CARF, and grant providers’ standards.

Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, or related field, two years of experience working therapeutically with populations whose difficulties border on the child welfare system, and the ability to conduct individual and group counseling, complete assessments, develop resources, and maintain client records is essential. Licensure or plan to obtain licensure required: LMFT, LCSW, or LMHC.
