Senior Financial Analyst

International Staffing Consultants, Inc. Elgin, IL (Onsite) Full-Time
Our Elgin Il based client , a leading designer, manufacturer, and distributor of CNC machines globally, is seeking a (Hybrid 1 days in office/ 4 days remote ) Senior Financial Analyst to join the team.

Global revenues total approximately $225 million, supported by 700+ employees concentrated in manufacturing and selling sites in the US, Switzerland and China.

ROLE

The successful Analyst will provide direct support to the finance team and work with regional and corporate leaders on financial analysis to facilitate decision making. The Analyst will also be responsible for enhancing the design and assist the budgeting and forecasting processes for the consolidated Company. This includes working with all levels of management to ensure budgeting and forecasting is conducted via a uniform process.

  1. Desired Previous Roles: Previous role(s) as senior accountant, senior financial analyst and similar roles and titles at businesses with revenues of $100+ million.
  1. Desired Industry: Experience working at a manufacturing company preferred, with prior experience working in manufacturing businesses producing capital equipment a plus.

The requirements for this position are as follows:

EDUCATION:

  1. B.S. / B.A. Degree in Accounting or Finance
  1. CPA designation (or local country equivalent if not US) or MBA degree strongly preferred


EXPERIENCE:

  1. Minimum 5 years combined working experience as a professional in corporate finance, investment banking or public accounting roles
  1. Minimum 2 years working experience in a corporate reporting or FP&A role
  1. Prior experience working for a global accounting firm (Big 4) a plus

SPECIFIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES:

  1. Good understanding of US GAAP Accounting principles
  1. Highly analytical, and driven to prepare and analyze financial reports, data sets and models
  1. Excellent project management skills including managing deadlines
  1. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment
  1. Highly motivated, passionate, self-starter; comfortable interacting with senior management
  1. Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work productively across the Company's global footprint and functional disciplines, including key operations in U.S., Switzerland, and China
  1. Ability to work flexible schedule
  1. Experience using complex databases, spreadsheets and presentation software tools for budgeting and financial analysis
  1. Experience with Power BI preferred or other equivalent reporting and visualization tool
  1. Experience creating business solutions backed by data and analysis

RESPONSIBILITIES: Key responsibilities for this role are as follows:

  1. Owner of Sales and Standard Margin Reporting
  1. Manage Budgeting/Forecasting submission cycle and consolidation
  1. Identify and summarize key drivers of financial performance on a consolidated, business, and regional level
  1. Identify notable trends and variances within the financial results
  1. Assist in the creation and development of monthly and quarterly reports, including for the bank and PE owners
  1. Assist with Strategic Planning process by compiling market analysis, financial modeling, and presentation materials
  1. Assist with the rolling cash flow forecast process
  1. Provide peer review support on reporting packs to ensure accuracy
  1. Execute Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis


Travel: Occasional travel required for the position, estimated to be < 20%.
