Job Summary
The role of maintenance assistant is demanding, and requires an all-around understanding of facility upkeep and safety procedures. It also includes transporting residents to appointments and some minimal med passing (training and education is provided). As maintenance assistant at the Good Samaritan Society, you'll need to have a versatile skill set and a can-do attitude.

What's in it for you: You will work in a faith-based organization with daily devotions and prayer before meetings (if you choose to participate). And you'll be part of a family, offering love and compassion to residents as part of a dedicated and diverse care team. Just ask our employees - it's what they love most about their role at the Society. That, and our opportunities for advancement.

You're a good fit if: You bring a smile to work every day, have a good work ethic, are a team player and have a compassionate nature.

What you'll do: From maintaining the grounds to general cleaning work, you'll need to be able to perform many different duties required to keep our facility clean and operating smoothly. A typical day is tough to define, but can include simple repairs, landscaping, painting, resident room cleaning, and all-around upkeep. You'll assist with preventative building maintenance and ensure our facility is clean, up to code, and safe for residents. Additionally, you will communicate with residents about cleaning, facility changes and other upkeep.

You're qualified for this position if: You meet all qualifications outlined below.

Throughout our organization, we aim to fulfill the most basic of human needs: to feel loved, valued and at peace. Are you up to the challenge?
