The role of maintenance assistant is demanding, and requires an all-around understanding of facility upkeep and safety procedures. It also includes transporting residents to appointments and some minimal med passing (training and education is provided). As maintenance assistant at the Good Samaritan Society, you'll need to have a versatile skill set and a can-do attitude.

What you'll do: From maintaining the grounds to general cleaning work, you'll need to be able to perform many different duties required to keep our facility clean and operating smoothly. A typical day is tough to define, but can include simple repairs, landscaping, painting, resident room cleaning, and all-around upkeep. You'll assist with preventative building maintenance and ensure our facility is clean, up to code, and safe for residents. Additionally, you will communicate with residents about cleaning, facility changes and other upkeep.
