Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Automotive Program Manager to oversee and coordinate projects within the automotive manufacturing sector. This role requires strong leadership and in-depth knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes. The Program Manager will manage the entire program lifecycle from inception through production launch, ensuring that timing, cost, quality, and scope objectives are consistently met. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure the seamless delivery of automotive programs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of automotive programs. Ensure alignment with project goals, including timing, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Continuously monitor project progress.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure production readiness, quality assurance, and process optimization throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, suppliers, and customers, ensuring clear communication and alignment on program objectives.
  • Identify potential risks early in the program and develop mitigation strategies to ensure program success.
  • Monitor program costs and ensure adherence to financial targets. Lead cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or timelines.
  • Partner with quality control teams to ensure all components and finished products meet or exceed industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts, materials, and components, resolving any issues that arise promptly.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for any issues related to design, manufacturing, or supply chain that could affect program success.
  • Advocate for process improvements in both the program management process and overall production environment to enhance efficiency and product quality.


Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of program management experience in the automotive manufacturing industry, with a strong track record of managing large, complex automotive programs.
  • Deep understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, tooling, and supply chain management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex automotive programs and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
